MARCH 28, 2014- Tense moments in North East Friday.
A boy goes missing, but is found alive and well in a very familiar place hours later.
It's a case of the community coming together.
A family rejoicing Friday afternoon.
Lucas Blodgett was recovered.
The ten year old was found at his father's home.
This morning, Blodgett did not report to school.
He normally takes the bus from his mother's home, but he never boarded it.
Immediately, alerts were sent out to families in the school district.
That prompted the community to take action.
A search party was organized and flyers were posted throughout the township.
Social media also played a major role in search efforts....
Lucas' information was shared thousands of times across the area.
Family members and friends tell us they are unsure as to why the boy did not go to school this morning.
However, they say he was in good spirits and dry clothing when he was found at his father’s house on South Washington Street later today.
