August 20, 2014 - The group Mothers Against Teen Violence is making it a little easier for kids in Erie to be successful during the school year.

Students heard from a former truancy court judge and from a school board member on the importance of going to school each and every day. MATV’s says many kids in Erie schools have been in trouble for truancy and the group wants the cycle of excuses to stop.

This is the first back to school event MATV has put on and they plan to do the same next year.
