September 3, 2013 - The North East public hearing is just a week away, but already members of the community are speaking out about using wind as an energy source.

At hand is the idea of adding wind turbines as a source of energy to the area, but some say there are some serious issues that need to be resolved before this energy source can make its way to north east.

Others say concerns over noise and such are blown out of proportion and that everyone should realize how much they say wind energy would benefit the area.

Another issue on the table, the public's awareness of the upcoming meeting, something one group says has been poorly publicized.

However, North East supervisors say the signing is plain to see and has the necessary information posted, but they might consider supplementing that information with additional signage.

The public hearing which will surely be packed, takes place on Tuesday, September 10th at 7pm at the North East Twp building.
