New Motors Sells Kia Brand to Auto Express

- June 24, 2014 - It's the start of a new chapter for two local car dealerships with a new deal showing signs of growth for both New Motors and Auto Express. Officials from New Motors and Auto Express say this new deal is a positive for both dealerships.

New Motors is making new changes, no more selling of the Kia brand and now investing in Subarus. The dealership has sold Kia to Auto Express and Vice President Joe Askins says he's thrilled to have the Kia brand on board. "For us it was just a perfect fit. A lot of our Suzuki customers to transition when they're ready for new cars to go from the Suzuki into the Kia brand," Askins said.

This change all comes after New Motors officials took a look at the recent success of Subaru and decided that was the direction they wanted to go.

The last bit of paperwork was signed today and officials from New Motors tell us customers with Kias can still get routine service at their dealership and with the Subaru expansion, more sales and mechanics jobs will be available.
