A new mural is up in downtown Erie to commemorate the Perry 200.
The artwork is on State Street in the parking lot of the Erie Community Credit Union. The company owns the building and donated the wall space to be used for the mural.
Michael Hinman, a local artist and art teacher at North East spent months planning, designing and painting the wall and finished hanging it today.
The project was paid for by the Perry 200 Commission and will remain on the wall indefinitely, and will likely be restored as needed.
