ODOT officials will be handing out brochures to local business along SR 531 in Geneva on the Lake between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The brochures will be distributed to inform businesses of the project description and detour for an upcoming closure on SR 531 between Ninevah Rd. and Myers Rd. in Saybrook Township. The brochures also include a map of the project and contact information for businesses if they have questions or need additional information.

Last month , ODOT began a $6.4 million project that is aimed at eliminating erosion along SR 531 and the Lake Erie Shoreline. The project will also resurface SR 531, improve drainage along the route and construct new six foot shoulders on the roadway. SR 531 is scheduled to close on Monday, June 2 between Ninevah Rd. and Myers Rd. for approximately 120 days. The detour will be SR 45 to US 20 to SR 534.
