July 29, 2014- It was just about a quarter to seven in the evening of July 16 when an explosion rocked the village of Orwell, Ohio. The force of the blast killed a 27 year old woman and sent another occupant of the house to a Cleveland Hospital with severe burns.

Today, the Ashtabula county coroner identified the woman as 27 year old Malerie Nick. A spokesman with the coroner's office said the woman's remains had to be identified by DNA testing.

The cause of the explosion is suspected to be an accumulation of natural gas in the home.
