PennDOT Announces Plans Display for Erie County Bridge Project

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation invites the public to view a display of plans for the rehabilitation of the bridge on Turnpike Road (Route 2022) over Beaver Creek in Wayne Township, Erie County.

The project is located on Turnpike Road, approximately one tenth of a mile west of the intersection with Route 89.

Rehabilitation work on the bridge is currently expected to begin in August 2014 and be completed in October 2014.

Plans for the project will be displayed:

Date: March 10 through March 24

Time: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Location: Wayne Township Municipal Building

17395 Sciota Road

Corry, Pa. 16407

The purpose of the display is to introduce the project and to receive public input regarding any questions or concerns with the project.

The display is also to receive any public input regarding historic or archaeological sites in the area, that could be affected by the project, as required by Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (cultural resources).
