If you're a bird lover and would like to get out on Presque Isle with the experts to learn more, your chance to do so is coming. The Great Backyard Bird Count hosted by the Presque Isle Audubon will be held on the park February 15th and you're invited to attend. It's an annual worldwide event and people in our region will be participating. You can join scientists and park educators to see which types of birds are on the park right now and learn more about them. The event will be at Picnic Shelter #2 in the Waterworks area of Presque Isle State Park. You can stop by anytime between 8 a.m. and noon to participate. A free nature craft and refreshments will be provided along with an indoor fire and birding assistance.
