FERBUARY 26, 2014- Presque Isle Downs and Casino has become a haven for fun and games over the past seven years.
And for as much money given away in player winnings, more money is made and given back-
Money that helps the community and Summit Township.
Nancy Agostine is a Summit Township Supervisor.
She says as the host municipality, the township gets a great amount of taxes from the casino.
She says those taxes have allowed Summit Township to grow and improve, completing projects like the Summit Township Building.
In addition, Agostine says the casino landscape continues to develop with a new hotel being built across the street.
Despite slot and table revenue being down, Agostine says the facility has done positive things for the area.
The seventh anniversary festivities here at Presque Isle Downs and Casino kick off this Friday.
It's called “the Lucky 7 Giveaway”, and it will feature prizes, food and other fun.
