June 23, 2014 - An Erie man wanted by police since April on aggravated assault charges is arrested over the weekend.

They took another man into custody during the same incident.

Tymeen Williams, 22, faces several charges including aggravated assault, carrying a firearm without a license and terroristic threats.

And Rashaad Jones, 25, is charged with obstruction of the administration of law enforcement and disorderly conduct.

Williams was taken into custody Saturday in the 700 block of East 25th Street after Erie Police found him in the area when they responded to reports of shots fired.

Williams reportedly tried to grab the officer’s gun, and when police tried to arrest him, they found Williams possessed a pistol in his waistband.

He was originally wanted on aggravated assault charges from April when he pistol whipped a woman and threatened to kill her.
