A power outage that has left thousands in the dark tonight.
According to a Penelec spokesman, more than five thousand people are in the midst of a blackout that stretches throughout eastern Erie and Crawford Counties.

It's reportedly affects areas from Corry to Union City and then south to Titusville.

The outage is being blamed on a line failure, although we're told Penelec does not know the exact cause. Crews are on the scene.
Penelec expects power to be restored within two to three hours.
