In a special press conference Monday afternoon at City Hall, the social club presented a check for $10,000 to the department.
"We thought we could help them out and their crime prevention unit. We're all in this community together and they're making it a better place for us. Just our way of saying thank you," said club president, Mike Miller.
Chief Randy Bowers said it means a lot to receive this check, and that it will be used to help out with new equipment, especially new equipment for the bicycle patrol unit.
