The Sons of Lake Erie and the DCNR are teaching families how to reel one in at the Waterworks pond on Presque Isle. The free program gave people the opportunity to test the icy waters. Hundreds of people were out on the pond, where the ice was around 11 inches thick. The thickest the ice in the area has been in years. This annual event was fun for anglers of all ages and for some it was quite the hands on experience.
