March 3, 2014 - March 3rd is a record-setting day in three ways: first, we've reached a record low of -1, second, we’ve reached a record low-high of six degrees, and third, this is the coldest high temperature for the month of March on record.
Keep in mind, Erie has been keeping track of the temperatures since the 1870s.
On top of all that, meteorologist Tom Divecchio says based off a bitterly cold winter, it's safe to assume that the spring will get off to a cold start as well, and those continuous days of warmth may not come our way until May.
