Meadville City police were assisted by Pennsylvania State Police today during an armed stand-off at a house in Crawford County.
It happened along Plank Road in East Mead Township.
Authorities arrived at the residence with a warrant for 21-year-old Brain Sedlak Jr.

Sedlak was wanted on aggravated assault charges stemming from a weekend shooting incident that happened at approximately 1 AM Saturday morning in Meadville.
Sedlak allegedly shot at an individual with a shotgun.
It is unknown whether that person was injured.

When police arrived, Sedlak barricaded himself inside the house and refused to come out.
That's when state police brought in a heavy piece of equipment called a "rook" used in situations involving hostage rescue, riots or in this case, barricaded suspects.

Luckily, the standoff ended with the suspect surrendering without incident after about an hour.
