Storms Hit Erie Region Day 2

jUNE 18, 2014 - According to Erie County 911 the hardest hit area appeared to be in northwest Millcreek Township where there were reports of trees branches and wires down.

One problem area was at the mouth of Presque Isle State Park where a giant tree was toppled by winds and blocked all four lanes of the road. It happened near Sara's.

It came at an especially difficult time with so many people trying to leave the park from the UPMC Sunset Music Series, but authorities were able to cut up the tree and get it out of the way.

There were reports of numerous power outages and winds that gusted to 59 miles an hour at the airport.
