Gannon University students are doing their part to get younger students interested in mechanical engineering.

Nearly sixty seventh and eighth graders from Joanna Connell students were at Gannon today for the mechanical engineering day.

They participated in three different activities that included building small boats and towers from unconventional objects and also using an egg as a passenger in a car, preventing it from being the victim in a car crash.

Students from joanna connell were chosen to participate today because of the school's location within gannon's erie gains program.
