It could be one of the largest murals in the region and Mercyhurst Prep will be the canvas.

Students at Mercyhurst Prep got the ball rolling this morning by entering ideas for the mural on their I-pads.
Ideas they could soon see painted on the school for generations to come.

The student body met this morning to learn more about the mural and offer their ideas.

The 25 thousand square foot mural will reflect the different aspects of Mercyhurst Prep campus life.

It will reflect the core values of the school and how it offers students "unparalleled preparation for life."

Artist Todd Scalise will paint the mural that will intertwine amongst the 24 pillars that suspend the walkway along the entry way to the school and will also cover the outside wall of the gymnasium wall.

The project will continue thru the summer

There are several donors who stepped foreword to fund this project so it's already paid for
