The Erie Summer Festival of The Arts has been cancelled for the upcoming summer.
Officials say financial trouble is to blame.
Last year the festival moved from its usual location at Liberty Park to inside The Convention Center.
That move put a damper on attendance.
Festival organizers said last year they faced financial problems but thanks to a Perry 200 commemoration grant they were able to hold the festival.
Unfortunately that's not the case this year but organizers promise to be back in 2015.
Festival organizer Vince Palermo says this isn't the first time the festival has taken a hiatus.
It did so in the 80's and Palermo says the festival came back bigger than ever.
