The vigil was put together by the Benedictine Sisters, the Sisters of Saint Joseph and the Sisters of Mercy.
The vigil was a night to pray for the Jordan family, and for the family of his accused killer, Kenneth Ellis, 60.
It's also been an opportunity to "reclaim the site" where Jordan was murdered, a night to pray for all victims of violence, and a time to pray, together, for a future where a nonviolent life is a reality.
