April 19, 2014 – In honor of the Easter weekend, thousands of people took part in an annual tradition at the zoo that could only be described as “egg-citing” and “egg-stravagant.”

The Erie Zoo's annual egg hunt brought in about four to five thousand people today.

Children, of course, just wanting to get their hands on the Easter eggs and some Romolo chocolates and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Zoo officials and families said with such beautiful weather, stopping at this egg hunt was the perfect thing to do this weekend.

The zoo is open tomorrow on Easter Sunday if you want to take advantage of the weekend's nice weather and did not get the chance to stop by today.
