August 26, 2014 - A Pleasantville man has been fined $250,000 by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. William Henderson is the president of Titusville Oil and Gas.

The DEP has assessed the penalties against him and three of his companies for violations of the Clean Stream Law, Solid Waste Management Act, and Oil and Gas Act. The DEP claims Titusville Oil and Gas performed unauthorized discharge of production fluids, failed to report the unauthorized discharges, and failed to plug abandoned wells.

The incidents occurred between 2010 and June of this year.
