January 30, 2014 - Around 4 pm, a man walked into Citizens Bank on 38th and Peach, giving a note to the teller and then fleeing the scene.

Police say they are unsure of the amount of money that was taken.

A description of the man and the kind of car he was driving was given to police by bank staff.

Then, at 26th and State, a patrol officer spotted the car and the driver matching the description and went to make a traffic stop.

However, the car did not stop for police, and then a short pursuit followed.

The suspect traveled east on 26th, then north on German before he crashed into another driver.

That driver was taken from the scene by stretcher to the hospital for treatment.

After the crash, two people hopped out of the car and tried to outrun police, but police were able to catch them, and they remain in custody at this hour.

Police said the suspects are a man and a woman, ages 40 and 29, respectively.

An arraignment is expected in the morning.
