WHAT: As part of UPMC Hamot’s High School Career Exploration Program, students are invited to learn first-hand from UPMC Hamot staff about the many health care career paths. Tomorrow a session will be held that focuses on clinical careers.

WHO: UPMC Hamot clinicians and leaders and 25 Central Tech High School students.

WHEN and WHERE: Tuesday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., UPMC Hamot Board Room, 201 State St. Erie, Pa., 16550.

WHY: The UPMC Hamot Center for Engagement and Inclusion High School Career Exploration Program works with Erie School District high schools to identify students interested in health care careers. In addition to meeting with staff and leaders, students can tour the facilities, take advantage of job shadowing opportunities, and possibly become interns. UPMC Hamot soon will expand the program to include other area school districts.
