July 18, 2014 – Today kicks off the 40th annual Waterford Days.

For years, this event was called “Heritage Days” and the focus was on the heritage of Waterford.

Now, Waterford Days has grown, and really, there is something for everyone in the family.

There are vendors, food, historical tours, cornhole tournaments, fireworks, talent shows, a Miss Fort LeBoeuf pageant, and so much more.

Even if you aren't from Waterford, this is still a chance to see all that this community has to offer, including its businesses, non-profits, churches, etc.

This year's three-day event is organized by the Fort LeBoeuf Historical Society.

The events are spread throughout Waterford at several locations: the gazebo, Gazebo Park, ball diamond, the ball park, historical campus, and all around town.

If you want to head out to this event this weekend, here are some things you need to know:
-it runs today, tomorrow, and Sunday, with the fireworks display taking place tomorrow night.
-if you plan on checking out the historical campus - which includes the Eagle Hotel, the Judson house, and the Fort LeBoeuf museum, you will need a ticket for that.
-tickets are $4 for adults, $1 for children up to 12 years old, with a maximum entry fee of $10 per family.

The excitement starts today at 3pm.
