Wigdet Financial Arraignment

One of the five men indicted in a massive identity fraud case that was cracked by a Widget Financial employee was in court today.

Adetunji Gbadegeshi had a detention hearing and formal arraignment.

His attorney argued that he should get a supervised release from jail before he goes to trial.

The defense attorney argued that Gbadesgeshi needs to be released to seek proper treatment for his prostate cancer. However, the prosecution fired back arguing that the man is a flight risk with multiple fake IDs.

Federal Magistrate Susan Paradise Baxter ruled on the bond request.

Two of the other men are in jail awaiting trial, two are free on bond.
