Research Points Out Dangers of Texting While Driving

April is "Distracted Driving Month."

Erie Insurance has done some research and found out specifics about the dangers of texting and driving.
The company analyzed police reports from the National Fatality Analysis Reporting System.
In the last 2 years, 65-thousand people have been killed in car crashes in the U.S.

One in ten were caused by a distracted driver.
Taking your eyes off the road to send or read a text, is the equivalent of driving the length of a football field while blindfolded.
