Murder suspects, found together in Detroit, back in Erie

ERIE, Pa. -- Two murder suspects wanted in separate Erie homicide cases and found together hiding in Detroit are back in Erie.

Keyon Lucas, 14, and Grover Lyons, 25, arrived back in Erie Sunday night after being transported from Detroit by Erie police. Both Lucas and Lyons waived their extradition hearings on Thursday.

Lucas and Lyons were arrested together after they were found hiding in a basement crawl space in a Detroit home on Feb. 22 by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Lucas was sought in the Jan. 23 death of Lavell Beason. Beason was shot while sitting in a minivan in the 500 block of East 22nd Street.

Lyons was wanted for the Dec. 31 shooting death of Darrin Germany outside of an east Erie bar.

Authorities have not disclosed how they traced the suspects to Michigan or if the two are related.
