erie, Pennsylvania - JULY 28, 2014-- Thirty-nine students are heading south for this years Walking in Black History trip. The trip hopes to help students learn more about history with a hands on experience. This is the 23rd year students have been able to go on this educational journey to colleges, museums, and other historic landmarks. The trip will take students to DC, Birmingham, Montgomery, Atlanta and other historic location, all to highlight the civil rights movement. Students age 11-18 from all over the county are taking part in this year’s tour. Many say they’re looking forward to learning more about those involved in getting our country to where it is today. Officials say this trip will give students the chance to walk on the ground where history was made in our country.
