A dispute between McKean Township employees and two elected auditors leads to wiretap charges.
It happened back in February when the two auditors went to the township building to request financial forms from the township treasurer. A discussion followed pertaining to the contents of the forms included in the township's audit.
According to the police report, when the auditors turned to leave, a tape recorder fell to the floor.
Joseph Szymanowski and Barbara Craig are charged with unlawful wiretapping of a conversation. The two were arraigned and released. They face up to seven years in jail.
