A young artist set a goal for herself to create original artwork in large quantities. Today, Traci Teudhope takes us to her home to see the fruits of her labor.
Sahana is a talented young girl with big aspirations. This summer, she decided she wanted to create 100 pieces of original artwork to display, and she did. The variety is impressive.
Sahana Ganeshan tells us, "I have a lot of different styles of art. I do modern contemporary art, also, I'm from India so I do some Indian art."
Her mom, Rjeshwari, describes her as a very peaceful and artistic person and that show through more than just her creations. She tells us, "in general. she's a very artistic person. She's detailed in everything around. She loves nature... animals and nature... bugs and worms and snakes. So, she is somebody who admires and appreciates everything in detail."
This young artist does have her favorite methods of expressing herself and her experiences. She likes "to paint because I like to use colors a lot and with a pen, I like to use small details, more than drawing it really big".
Sahana's parents say she's unlike any other kid, especially in her goal-setting. Her mom tells us, "I personally think that it is a lot of determination for a kid her age, and of course, other kids can learn from it."
