Everyone loves to be showered with gifts on their birthday, but one young lady prefers those gifts to go to the dogs. Traci Teudhope introduces us to this week's Good Kid.
When Sadee Troutman was five years old, she started celebrating her birthday by giving back to her furry friends.
Heather Rogers, Sadee's Mom, says, "we usually do a theme for her birthday party every year and she said she wanted to do a dog theme".
"I really like animals," says Sadee, "and I think they deserve to have a happy home". At eight years old now, it's a mission that remains near and dear to her heart. Sadee says she gets a lot out of the experience, too. "Well, my favorite part is 'cause usually when I donate, usually I get to play with animals."
Rogers says, "she really enjoys doing it. She's a very selfless child and would rather give to others than to herself."
