1 cake, baked...any flavor
1 container of frosting, any flavor
Chocolate disks for melting - chocolate or colored disks
Sprinkles or icing tubes for decorating
Crumble the baked cake into a large bowl...making sure to break up any large pieces
Add about of the can of frosting and mix well. It is best to use your hands for this step! (wash them first but be sure to dry them well)
Mix until a play dough type consistency is obtained. If mixture is too dry, add more frosting.
Roll into balls and place on wax paper lined cookie sheet
Melt some chocolate, dip the lollipop stick into the chocolate and then place stick into the ball to form the lollipop.
Freeze the cake pops for at least 1-2 hours
Melt the dipping chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave oven in a bowl large enough to dip the cake pops
Dip the cake pops to coat them...then place them in an upright position (in styrofoam or cardboard). Decorate as desired.
Dip in chocolate then sprinkle with candy sprinkles while chocolate is still soft
Dip in orange chocolate, then top with a green Tic Tac for the stem and make a jack O' lantern face with black decorator icing from the tube.
Dip in white chocolate, then using black decorator icing, make eyes and a mouth..then drizzle more white chocolate over top creating a mummy look alike!
