Shooting for Smiles - In Studio Preview

The Gannon men’s and women’s basketball programs will be hosting Shooting for Smiles Oct. 4 at the Hammermill Center. The camp will serve children ages 10 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The camp will focus on fundamental basketball skills through drills directed by Gannon men's and women's basketball student-athletes and coaches.

Head coach Jim Brunelli and sophomore Brianna Brennan are coordinating the camp. Brennan has served at numerous camps and clinics in her hometown of Woodhaven, Mich. and throughout the Detroit region. As a childhood education major, Brennan took the initiative to establish the camp by partnering with The Arc of Erie County. The organization serves the Erie community by offering early intervention, health care, a free appropriate public education and support for families with loved ones affected by cognitive and intellectual disabilities.
