Local Athlete Recovering From Heart Condition

McLane's Jon Solberg Recognized at City-County All-Star Game

ERIE, Pa. - One local high school athlete got quite the unexpected surprise in the midst of what has been a difficult month off the court.

General McLane's Jon Solberg was announced as one of the county starter's in Friday night's 43rd Annual city-county boys all-star basketball game despite not being able to play.

Solberg has been sidelined with a heart condition for the last month.

The GM senior had to undergo heart surgery on March 2nd as a result of Wolf-Parkinson White Syndrome causing him to miss the end of the Lancers' basketball season.

While he has not been able to participate with his teammates the way he'd hoped, he appreciated the recognition by his coaches and teammate from the county.
