The Erie Otters lost to the Saginaw Spirit by the final score of 3-1. Patrick Fellows had the only goal of the game for the Otters in their 10th road loss this season.
The Spirit scored first, with a goal from Cole Coskey five minutes into the 1st period. The Otters managed to tie the game heading into the 2nd following Patrick Fellows’ backhander that found the back of the net just over halfway through the period. Alex Gritz and Owen Headrick picked up the assists on the tying goal.
Cade Robinson was sent to the penalty box for hooking early in the 2nd. Mason Kohn scored on the power play just over three minutes into the period to put the Spirit up 2-1. Just over ten minutes later, Blade Jenkins scored an insurance goal for the Spirit, 3-1.
The remainder of the game was largely a goaltending battle, as neither goalie let in another goal. The final score was 3-1, Spirit.
