Otters Select Emmett Sproule in OHL Draft

Erie Takes Centerman 21st Overall

ERIE, Pa. - The Erie Otters are proud to announce their selection of Emmett Sproule of the Grey-Bruce Highlanders with the 21st overall selection in the 2017 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection.

Sproule stands at 5’8.5” tall, and weighs in at 135-pounds. The Nottawa, Ontario native spent the 2016-17 season with the Grey-Bruce Highlanders appearing in 33 games, recording 14 goals and 25 points.

“Emmett was our guy from the start,” General Manager Dave Brown said. “He has great skill and excels at making plays in motion. He shows great on-ice instincts and determination each shift. We’re excited to add a player of his caliber and welcome him to the Erie Otters family.”
