Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Seattle Seahawks have signed cornerback Terrell Thomas and offensive tackle Eric Winston.

Thomas will rejoin his college coach, Pete Carroll, after spending his first six NFL seasons with the New York Giants. He missed the 2011 and 2012 seasons because of injuries, but returned last year and notched 67 tackles with an interception in 16 games, seven of which were starts.

"I'm so thankful for the Seattle Seahawks giving me an opportunity to continue my dream," Thomas wrote on Twitter. "Can't wait to hit the field with my new teammates!"

The 29-year-old USC product has 12 career interceptions, seven forced fumbles and three sacks. He was selected by the Giants in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.

Winston, the president of the NFL Players Association, spent his first six NFL seasons with Houston, then played with Kansas City in 2012 and Arizona last year.

"Season finally starts for me today!" Winston wrote on Twitter. "Looking forward to chasing a ring with the Seahawks!! Time go to work!"

The Miami-Florida product has started all 16 games in each of the last seven seasons.

Seattle also signed wide receiver Randall Carroll, waived cornerback Chandler Fenner and guard Bronson Irwin, and placed wide receiver Taylor Price on the reserve/injured list.
