Pennsylvania crafters and artists will display their handmade goods at the first annual MAKERSfest in Lancaster on Sunday, June 8.

The festival, put together by the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsman, will feature more than 50 crafters as this brand new street festival celebrates the art of making beautiful objects, textiles, jewelry, furniture, functional art and even beer and wine.

A “bot” created by Dan Baxter from recycled objects will be among the items shown by the Pennsylvania Craftmans Guild at the Lancaster MAKERSfest.

Free to the public, the festival also offers participants hands-on demonstrations and live music. Food trucks will be available.

Here’s a sampling of exhibitors:

• Silk-screen your own “Lancaster, City of Makers” shirt with Graphic Communications & Printing Technology at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology

• Food Trucks in Building Character courtyard

• Paint watercolors with Susquehanna Waldorf School

• 3-D printing demonstrations with Lanco/Berks Makers

• Fleece to Shawl – shearing to weaving, knitting and spinning with Red Rose 4-H Fiber Artist Club

• Rare breed sheep with Flying Fibers

• Chalk up the sidewalk with Lancaster Creative Factory

• Soldering Zone (ages 10 & up) with Lanco/Berks Makers

• Live music with River Valley Music Collective

• Coffee making demonstration with Commonwealth on Queen

• Print making demonstration with Heritage Press Museum

• Plein air painting demonstration with Michael Allen

• Spinning directly from angora rabbit with Ellen Anderson

• Wine making demonstration with Lancaster Homebrew

The Pennsylvania Guild of Fine Craft Fair is open Sunday, June 8 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., along the 300 block of N. Queen St., Lancaster. Admission is free. Pay parking is available in nearby garages. For more information visit PAcrafts.org.
