Bank Robbers Arrested in Harborcreek

Their vehicle was stopped and they were taken without incident.
There are some similarities between the robbery that we had at the First National Bank on Peach Street a little while back.
January 14, 2014 - Two men from western New York State have been charged with a bank robbery in Summit Township.

52 year old Brian Spenny of Tonawanda and 32 year year old Scott Dimond of Niagara Falls were both arraigned this evening on multiple charges including robbery and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery.

According to State Police, Dimond went inside the Northwest Savings Bank on Douglas Parkway just before noon today and gave a note to a teller demanding money while Spenny waited in his car.

Dimond did not show a weapon.
He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The criminal complaint stating it was more than $2000.
After witnesses described Spenny's car, the vehicle was stopped by troopers on I-90 in Harborcreek and the two were taken into custody without incident.
