Barber Sentenced to Life Without Parole

Barber sentenced to life in state prison without parole for the murder of Brandy Stevens.
November 14, 2013 - 21 year old Ashley Barber entered a guilty plea Thursday morning before Judge Mark Stevens.

Barber was charged with first degree murder. After entering her guilty plea this morning, she was then sentenced to life in prison without parole.

District attorney Francis Schultz says back in May of 2012, Barber and girlfriend Jade Olmstead, both from the Cochranton area lured 19 year old Brandy Stevens from her home in Ohio to a wooded area in Cochranton and then killed her.

Olmstead already pleaded guilty on October 31 to first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison without parole as well.

Schultz says Olmstead and Stevens used to date.

Barber and Olmstead were in an on-and-off relationship and Schultz says the two viewed Stevens as a threat.
