BRIE IN PUFF PASTRY
The brie cheese melts inside the puffy crust for an elegant appetizer. Serve with apple slices, toast rounds, crackers, or other raw vegetables.
sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 round wheel of brie (small)
cup brown sugar
cup nuts ( pecans, almonds, walnuts)
cup dried fruit (raisins, craisins)
1 beaten egg
Roll out puff pastry to form square
Place brie in center of puff pastry
Top with brown sugar, nuts and fruit
Fold up edged to cover cheese and filling, pinch ends closed
Brush pastry with egg
Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown and flaky.
