Car Crash Knocks Out Power

One vehicle crash causes power outages in the surrounding area
January 7, 2014- Power was knocked out in an Erie neighborhood after a car slammed into a utility pole late last night.
Just after 10 last night, emergency crews were called to West 24th and Poplar Streets for that crash.
According to reports from the scene, the driver of this SUV lost control and struck this utility pole, knocking out power to the surrounding blocks.
The driver was not injured in the accident.
Power is expected to be restored early this morning, but the frozen ground and frigid temperatures are making it a slow go.
