December 19, 2013

The Community Blood Bank is in need of your help this holiday season, due to blood supply levels dropping. The spike in car accidents due to recent bad weather is one factor limiting the blood supply locally. Christmas and New Year’s Day both falling mid-week will mean the blood bank will be open fewer days. Multiple promotions are going on throughout the end of the year to encourage people to come in. When you give the gift of life, you'll receive a gift as well. If you've recently donated, you'll need to wait two months before donating again. All blood types are needed at this time. The blood bank is open 8 – 6 Monday through Friday. On Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, they will be open 8 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Saturday, they are open from 9 – 12:30. For more information.
