Corbett Taking Stand on Gay Marriage

The Corbett administration has filed a lawsuit to block gay marriage.
Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, is making headlines across the nation for taking a stand on gay marriage. The Corbett administration has filed a lawsuit to block gay marriage. In its court case, the administration contends that marriage licenses given to gay couples are invalid, just like a marriage license for 12 year olds would be invalid.

In its lawsuit, the state wrote, "had the clerk issued marriage licenses to 12-year-olds in violation of state law, would anyone seriously contend that each 12-year-old. . . Is entitled to a hearing on the validity of his 'license'?"

Recently we reported on the marriage of two Erie woman, united in marriage. Hoping that the state's ban on gay marriage will ultimately be ruled unconstitutional, making their union legal.
