This week's Golden Apple Award Winner is David Double of Fairview High School.  Mr. Double was nominated by Jenniffer Greeley.

Jenniffer writes:

I would like to first start out by describing Mr. Double.  If I had to choose just one word to describe my Applied Algebra teacher, Mr. Double, it would have to be amazing; maybe it would be knowledgeable, maybe reliable, maybe trusting.  It's hard to choose with him.  He's good at everything that I have seen.

One thing that I really enjoy about Mr. Double is that he knows what reality is.  he knows that people make mistakes.  He knows that nobody is perfect, but most of all, he knows how to teach.  He does not let you misbehave, but he does let you have fun after you are done with your work.  He has a very good sense of humor too.

He is planning on retiring this year; I'm not looking forward to it.  He's a gut that's easy to approach with questions, and if you have a question, then he will be there to answer it.  He's very reliable, and can be really helpful.

I've learned a lot in Mr. Double's Applied Algebra class.  He's the teacher that "can speak my language."  In my previous years, I never understood algebra, not it's actually making sense.  I actually understand some formulas that I have been struggling with for a while.  This year in Applied Algebra, I learned so much.

All of these are a few out of the many reasons that I believe Mr. Double is an excellent teacher and why he really deserves the Golden Apple Award.
