Know the route you and your kids will be taking on Halloween. Encourage kids to trick or treat in groups with at least one adult or a teen aged sibling. Know what activities your children will be attending that night, such as any school functions or parties. Set a time that children should be home. Review the differences between "tricks" and actual vandalism, stressing the vandalism can actually ruin Halloween for others.
