Aggressive Driving Enforcement Wave Underway

PennDOT is working with local and state police departments to crack down on aggressive driving this spring.
April 1, 2014 - With the change in the weather, you will notice more street crews working to patch up roads, adding yet another element for drivers to be aware of.

However, PennDOT is working with state and local police agencies, to make sure these workers are safe, and that drivers are not aggressive and posing a threat to others.

During this campaign, the spotlight is on distracted driving, speeding, and work zone safety.

When this campaign took place last year, participating police agencies wrote more than 116,000 aggressive-driving related citations - and that is over a six week span.

The Millcreek Police Department is one of more than 330 in the state participating in this campaign, and Corporal Anthony Chimera tells us it's important to slow down to keep workers safe.
