Cliff Crosby, former NFL Super Bowl champion and East High School graduate (special guest)

School Board Member Angela McNair, event coordinator

BACKGROUND:
Families with students in Erie's Public Schools will learn about college and career readiness, saving green by going green, the Common Core State Standards and parenting tips during the "Better Together" parent workshop Tuesday evening at East High School.

The project is being coordinate by Erie School Board member Angela McNair and goal of the series is to better inform and engage parents and guardians so they help their children succeed.

While parents attend the workshops, students will also attend motivational workshops. The March 25 event will feature former NFL football player Cliff Crosby for students, along with several other speakers.

Resource tables from various community organizations will be available and families will also enjoy dinner together in the school's cafeteria.
